BroadSense Ltd. developed the first mobile terminal based, subscriber -centric network data collection platform facilitating network performance, customer care, revenue assurance and operations.
Based on BroadSense platform, SIMM2M is a network monitoring and diagnostic system for M2M deployments. Its primary goal is to allow the user (typically a mobile operator, MVNO or M2M service provider) to gain persistent 24/7 on demand and historic performance visibility into the network presence, QoS (GSM/GPRS), location and mobility of every M2M terminal in the monitored deployment down to a single endpoint.
The network QoS and location information is collected from the module by software based collection agent embedded directly on Telit's modules, effectively turning the M2M terminal into a network probe. Alternatively the collection agent application may be directly embedded on a SIM card. When deployed on a SIM card, the application is not terminal specific, works on all modern (U) SIM Javacards regardless of vendor, and is compatible with most M2M modules and terminals, without prior adaptation or integration. It starts working when the card is inserted into the terminal and the terminal is turned on.
The information is reported back from the data collection application using GPRS, SMS or USSD and the reporting is event driven and triggered upon the occurrence of a predefined set of thresholds and network events.
